Regarding the announcement of the recommended standards for the minimum base salary in Renminbi
for the period of January to April ,2024
The China Shipowners' Association ‘s member units:
On November 16, 2023, following collective negotiations between National Committee of the Chinese Seamen and Construction Workers’Union and the China Shipowners' Association, it has been decided to officially announce the collective agreement about Renminbi minimum base salary table for Chinese seafarers starting from May 1, 2024.
To facilitate shipowners in calculating seafarers’ wage costs, the China Seafarers' Collective Agreement Working Committee, taking into account the average exchange rates from January to October published on the official website of the People's Bank of China for each month of 2023, has formulated the recommended standards for the minimum base salary in Renminbi for the period of January to April 2024.
All relevant shipowners of the China Shipowners' Association are requested to refer to and implement these standards according to their operational needs.
